- The Skyspace is free and open to the public every day, and reservations are not required: walk up and take an available seat.
- The structure is open 6am to 10pm. The sunrise light sequence begins about 40 minutes before sunrise; the sunset sequence begins about 8 to 10 minutes before sunset. Each runs about 40 minutes.
- Rice asks visitors to arrive 15 minutes before the posted sequence time.
- Entry is free but campus parking is not. The Central Campus Garage charges $1 per 12 minutes, West Lot 2 charges $1 per 20 minutes, and the Greenbriar Lot is a $3 flat rate per entry, each capped at $12 a day. The gates take credit cards only.
