Terms of use
Effective September 9, 2026
These terms cover your use of Experiencing Houston at experiencinghouston.com (the "Site"), operated by Aspen Ridge Capital LLC, doing business as Experiencing Houston ("we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the Site.
1. What the Site is
The Site is a free guide to visiting Houston: curated places, an events calendar, neighborhood guides, written guides, a trip planner, and a question-and-answer concierge. It is provided for general information only.
2. Accuracy and changes
Houston changes constantly. Event dates, prices, opening hours, and availability come from organizers, ticketing feeds, and venue websites, and can change without notice. We check what we can, but you are responsible for confirming details with the venue or organizer before you go or buy. We are not responsible for a wasted trip, a closed door, or a price that moved.
3. AI-assisted content
Some written guides, the trip planner, and the concierge use artificial intelligence. Their output is generated from our curated knowledge base and is limited to it, but it can still be wrong or incomplete. Treat it as a well-informed starting point, not a guarantee. Read our content disclosure for how this works.
4. Affiliate links, ads, and sponsored content
Some links on the Site are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We also show display advertising and may publish clearly labeled sponsored placements. None of this changes what we recommend. Details are in our disclosure.
5. Third-party sites and purchases
Bookings, tickets, hotel reservations, and purchases happen on third-party sites under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not a party to those transactions and cannot issue refunds, change bookings, or resolve disputes with them.
6. Using the Site
You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial trip planning. You may not: scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content or data; use automated tools to query the concierge or trip planner; attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures; misrepresent yourself or the Site; or use the Site for anything unlawful. We may block access that breaks these rules.
7. Things you send us
Questions typed into the concierge and requests sent to the trip planner are stored without your name or account to improve our guides (see the privacy policy). Don't include personal information in them. If you email us tips or corrections, you allow us to use them on the Site without payment or attribution.
8. Our content
Text, curation, and design on the Site are ours or used under license, and are protected by copyright. Photos credited to third parties are used under the Creative Commons license shown with each photo, and you may reuse those photos under the same license terms. You may share links to our pages freely and quote short excerpts with attribution. Please ask before republishing anything longer.
9. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aspen Ridge Capital LLC, doing business as Experiencing Houston is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, time, data, or enjoyment, arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed US $50.
10. Corrections and takedowns
If something on the Site is wrong, out of date, or you believe it infringes your rights, email hello@experiencinghouston.com with the page URL and what to change. We aim to respond within two business days. Copyright notices should include the work, the URL, your contact details, and a statement that you own the rights or act for the owner.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and continued use of the Site after that means you accept the new version.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that state, unless applicable law gives you a right to bring it elsewhere.
