What they actually say
- There is no entrance fee to the Boardwalk itself. Rides are paid for separately, at the on-site ticket booth or online in advance.
- The gated lots on Bradford and Kipp Avenue are free when the gates are up, and paid on weekends, holidays and event days. Kemah states that parking prices vary and may change without notice.
- Parking is credit-card only: take a ticket on the way in, then pay by scanning the QR code sign or at a walk-up station.
- Pets are not allowed on the Boardwalk. Service animals are accommodated separately.
- Loose items, including purses, backpacks, phones, cameras and drink containers, are not permitted on most rides.
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited indoors, in ride and food queues, and while seated on any ride.
- Height requirements are posted at the entrance to each ride and at the ticket booths rather than published as a single list.
- Boardwalk hours vary by season, so the current ones are only on the visitor info page.
