Comicpalooza takes over the George R. Brown Convention Center at 1001 Avenida De Las Americas, in the middle of downtown. That location is the practical advantage over most conventions of this size: you are walking distance from Discovery Green, the Toyota Center and a real choice of restaurants, so you are not trapped eating convention-centre food for three days.

Buy the right badge rather than the cheapest one. A single-day badge is fine if you are coming for one guest or one panel; the difference shows up on the celebrity autograph and photo-op lines, which are ticketed separately on top of admission and are the costs people forget to budget for.

Guest announcements roll out over the months before, and the headline names drive which day sells out. If a specific guest is why you are going, check which days they are scheduled before you buy anything.
