Houston Improv

Houston Improv is out on the Katy Freeway in the Marqe entertainment centre rather than downtown, which is the first thing to know: it is a drive, and the parking is free. It runs a two-item minimum per person like most comedy clubs, but unlike the Punch Line downtown, food counts towards it — order a starter and you are done. Doors are 18 and over with photo ID, 21 to drink.

Before you go

What the venue actually says

  • 7620 Katy Freeway, Space 455, Houston, TX 77024, inside the Marqe entertainment centre.
  • You must be 18 or over to enter and 21 or over to buy or drink alcohol. A state driver's licence, state ID, passport or military ID is required.
  • There is a two-item minimum per guest. Any food item or any drink counts towards it, with or without alcohol - so unlike some comedy clubs, a plate of food satisfies it.
  • Parking is complimentary behind the venue and across the Marqe centre. The venue recommends the garage, which is open up to the fourth floor.
  • No oversized bags or backpacks. All bags are searched on entry.
  • Outside food and drink are not allowed; the venue serves a full menu in the showroom.
  • Box office hours are Mon-Wed 10am-5pm, Thu 10am-8pm, Fri-Sat 10am-10pm, Sun 12pm-8pm.
  • Wheelchair-accessible seating is available, but the venue asks you to tell them after booking so they can set it aside.

Read off the venue's own site on 2026-09-11. Policies drift - check before you travel.
