Bayou Music Center

Bayou Music Center sits in Bayou Place on Texas Avenue, and the single most useful thing to know is that street parking downtown is free after 6pm — for an evening show that beats the valet, which is run by the City of Houston rather than the venue. It is cashless and strictly no re-entry, so bring a card and everything you need before you go in.

Before you go

What the venue actually says

  • 520 Texas Ave, Houston, TX 77002, downtown.
  • Street parking is free after 6pm if you follow the city signage. Valet is available at the complex but is run by the City of Houston, not the venue, and the Theatre District's paid underground parking is the other option.
  • Strictly no re-entry. If you leave during the event you will not be let back in.
  • The venue is cashless - debit, credit and tap only. A cash-to-card booth converts cash dollar for dollar with no service fee.
  • Bags up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches are allowed, all are searched, and bags that are not clear get an additional search.
  • Mobile entry only; tickets are not emailed or printed.
  • The box office is outside the main music hall entrance and opens two hours before doors.
  • No smoking inside; there are exterior smoking areas.
  • Phones and point-and-shoot cameras are fine. Detachable lenses and professional rigs need a media pass.
  • The 40 Below VIP lounge has its own entrance and restrooms, opens an hour before the rest of the venue and stays open after the show.

Read off the venue's own site on 2026-09-11. Policies drift - check before you travel.
