What they actually say
- There are two services, not one continuous day: lunch Tuesday to Sunday from 11am, and dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm. Both run only until sell-out.
- "Sell out" is literal and is the operating model - when the meat is gone the restaurant closes, so a late arrival can find nothing left regardless of the posted hours.
- The Houston restaurant is at 110 S Heights Boulevard; the original is in Brenham, about 90 minutes northwest, and opens Thursday to Sunday only. Check which one a recommendation means.
- Brisket is cooked on wood-burning offset smokers over roughly 18 hours, and whole briskets can be bought outright rather than by the plate.
- Ordering ahead is through curbside pickup on their site rather than a reservation system - there are no table bookings.
Read off their own site in Sep 2026. Prices and policies drift, so confirm before you travel.
