- Three operators run public walking food tours you can join as an individual; the rest of the market is private-group only. Prices and days below are as each operator's site stated them on the check date.
- Secret Food Tours Houston: $84.99 a person, 3 to 3.5 hours, capped at 12 people, daily at 10:30am. It meets in front of Market Square Park at the Old Market Square historical marker, Travis at Congress. Five food stops and water are included, alcohol is a paid extra, and the walking totals about a mile.
- Best Bites Houston: the Houston Bites & Sites tour is $65 for adults and $45 for ages 12 and under, 2.5 hours with five tastings and two drink pairings, on Saturdays, meeting at 700 Louisiana Street. Its Booze, Bites & Historical Sites tour is $69, 2.5 hours, ages 21 and over, Fridays and Sundays.
- Howdy H-Town's EaDo Food Tour is $90, 3.5 hours and about two miles across five stops (a bakery, a taco stand, barbecue, a supermarket and a Vietnamese restaurant). Public dates run October to April only.
