- The system runs more than six miles, connects 95 city blocks and sits 20 feet below the downtown streets.
- It closes by 6pm and is not open on weekends or in the evenings. It exists for office workers, so a Saturday visit finds locked doors - this is the mistake visitors make most often.
- Only Wells Fargo Plaza and the McKinney Garage on Main Street offer direct street access. Every other entrance is inside a private office building, reached by stairs, escalators or lifts at street level.
- It started in the 1930s as a single tunnel between two movie theatres.
