Advertiser terms

Effective September 9, 2026

These terms apply to every paid placement on ExperiencingHouston.com and in its newsletter ("Placements") bought from Experiencing Houston, a trade name of Aspen Ridge Capital LLC ("we"). An insertion order that references these terms is the full agreement.

  1. Placements. We offer Featured listings, Event spotlights, and Newsletter sponsorships as described on /advertise at the time of the order. Positions are as described, not guaranteed pixel positions; the site is responsive.
  2. Featured listing newsletter reach. A Featured listing includes placement in the newsletter's “Featured places” block in each regular issue until the issues carrying it have been delivered, in total, the number of times stated on /advertise at the time of the order (currently 10,000). Deliveries are as reported by our email platform per issue; opens and clicks are not the measure. The block continues past the end of the site term if the number has not been reached. It is a placement in a shared block, not an exclusive sponsorship, and we do not guarantee a rate of delivery or a date by which the number is reached.
  3. Labeling. Every Placement carries a visible "Sponsored" label and, in email, a "Sponsored" line. The label is not negotiable.
  4. Editorial independence. Placements never change editorial rankings, recommendations, or coverage. We may decline or remove any Placement that conflicts with our editorial standards or applicable law, with a pro-rata refund of the unserved period.
  5. Creative. You supply copy and images by the agreed deadline and warrant that you own or license them, that claims are truthful and substantiated, and that the content complies with FTC, Arizona, and other applicable advertising law. We may edit for length, style, or accuracy with your approval, and may reject creative that is misleading, adult, gambling, political, or for products we do not recommend.
  6. Payment. Placements are paid in full in advance. A Placement starts only after payment clears and we have confirmed that the buyer represents the business named on the page. If we cannot confirm it, we refund the payment in full and the Placement does not run.
  7. Cancellation and refunds. Cancel in writing at least 3 business days before the start date for a full refund. Once a Placement is live, fees are non-refundable except under clause 3, or if we fail to run it, in which case we re-run it or refund the unserved portion.
  8. Reporting. At the end of each Placement we send impressions (page views of the pages it appeared on) and clicks on its link, from our own logs, as-is.
  9. Makegoods. If a Placement runs short because of our error or downtime over 24 hours, we extend it by the missed time or refund pro rata. That is the only remedy.
  10. Liability. Our total liability for any Placement is the amount paid for it. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. You indemnify us against claims arising from your creative or products.
  11. Data. We do not share reader personal data with advertisers. Newsletter sponsors receive aggregate numbers only.
  12. Changes and law. The version of these terms referenced on your order applies to that order. Governing law: State of Arizona.
